I-Sketch Field
General
I-Sketch Field, a product
of Alias, LTD, is
designed as an easy to use, intuitive solution for quick
and accurate capture of piping geometry and data within
the plant. I-Sketch Field is a complementary application
designed to work with the full desktop version of I-Sketch.
I-Sketch Field was developed for use by plant engineers
and operates on a hand held “palm”- like PC.
I-Sketch
Field is aimed at increasing productivity by capturing the
existing “As-Built” piping configuration through an as-built
pipe sketch; and/or editing an existing drawing by importing
it from a plant design system for subsequent editing to
conform to the actual as-build piping system.
Once
a drawing is updated to an as-built 3D model, it can be
exported to I-Sketch to add additional information and then
exported from I-Sketch to TRIFLEX® for pipe stress
analysis and code compliance.
The
benefits: a most cost effective solution to reduce costs
of achieving as-built drawing by the most efficient method
possible.Plant
as-built configurations can be captured and sketched on
site. Color-coding ensures all critical piping dimensions
are input directly into the sketch before leaving the plant.
This increases the effectiveness and productivity of the
person gathering the pipe data.
Importing
existing pipe data through plant design systems (in PCF
or IDF format) and marking the areas to be checked on the
walk-down can increase the productivity of the data collector.
The data collector does NOT require prior knowledge of CAD
systems or CAD skills, thereby reducing the training time
and cost of implementation.
Importing
existing catalogs, tables, and data that reflect company
standards, greatly increases the accuracy of the changes
that will be noted in the field.
Exporting
as-built pipe ISO's to TRIFLEX® Pipe Stress Software
for further analysis and then to a Plant Design System greatly
increases this as a low cost productive tool.
