I-Sketch

General

I-Sketch, a product of Alias, LTD, provides the ability to automatically generate complete piping isometrics with bill of materials and reports in minutes based on a simple sketch.

Developed specifically for use by engineers, I-Sketch is windows based application that requires no specialist CAD knowledge or 3D modeling skills to generate standard ISO’s.

I-Sketch delivers “Out of the Box” functionality and comes complete with Project and Catalog management software.  Comprehensive ANSI and DIN catalogs are included as well as sample piping specifications.  Existing piping specifications held in Plant Design System (PDS, PDMS, PLANT 4D) can be converted for use by I-Sketch with I-Convert module.

Integration with Plant Design Systems is a key feature of I-Sketch.  The Import utility allows access to pipes created from any ISOGEN enabled system for subsequent modification.    Imported or newly created pipes can be loaded into a number of Plant Design Systems by using I-Export module.

I-Sketch increases productivity and decreases the cost of a pipe stress analysis by reducing the time to code the geometry of the model to minutes not hours or days.<

“As-build” configurations, system walk-downs and tie-ins to existing lines can be achieved in minutes and then used to electronically send the as-built Iso to TRIFLEX^® for pipe stress analysis for Code Compliance analysis.  Hese results are then sent to a 3D Plant Design system so the drawing can be updated.

I-Sketch follows and applies known Industry Standards for Isometric Presentations (ISOGEN).  I-Sketch drawings can be read directly by all major plant design software vendors.  Any ISOGEN customization that has been adopted ,e.g. ,drawing options; border and option switches may be used by I-Sketch.  Thereby assuring quality, consistency and presentation of output.  Reports such as Welds, Bill of Materials, are also identical to those produced by a plant design system.  The start-up time is considerably reduced with the ability to import catalogs that have been created in PDS and PDMS.
