Version History
TRIFLEX® was introduced
to the public in 1973. Originally it ran on large mainframes
and was migrated and sold through Services Bureau's in 1975.
This meant it was introduced as a batch program running in
FORTRAN. The input was through punch cards and later though
timesharing terminals. As the growth of the computers industry
continued, TRIFLEX® was migrated to mini-computers i.e.
DEC PDP's, VAX, PRIME, PE, Apollo, Clippers (Intergraph)
and then to various other Mainframes and then back to desktop
PC's (1985). Thought this time period the program was sold
to various Engineering & Consulting firms as well as
Operating companies. >From 1985 to 1998 the program was
available on PC's under a DOS based operating systems. In
December of 1998, AAA Technology
& Specialties Co., Inc. introduced TRIFLEX®
Windows to their existing customers and to new customers
in a Microsoft Windows environment. On September 2, 1999
the Engineering Software Division and TRIFLEX® was sold
to PipingSolution,
Inc.
