TRIFLEX
1.5.3 Enhancements
Copying
and Pasting Special Reports The Special Reports offered
in TRIFLEX such as the Flange Loading Report, the Spring
Hanger Sizing and Selection Report, the NEMA Report for
Loading on Steam Turbines, the API Std. 610 Report for Loading
on Centrifugal Pumps and the API Std. 617 for Loading on
Centrifugal Compressors can now be copied into the clipboard
and pasted into word processors as well as other text editors.

Input
Graphics Display Dialog - The Input Graphics Display Dialog
has been revised to incorporate a tabbed property page that
provides the User with an improved ability to map the various
colors to the various piping components.
Printing
the Piping Model Graphic with a Border and a Title Block
In this release of TRIFLEX, the ability to print
the piping model with a border and a title block is provided.
The User can enter the desired data in TRIFLEX for inclusion
in the title block. (E/2001/07/02/01)
Printing
the Piping Model Graphic on Multiple Pages
In this release of TRIFLEX, the ability to print the piping
model on multiple pages is provided. The individual
pages can be connected by the User with tape or other means
or can simply be shown side by side. The User is given
the option to define the number of pages (panes) horizontally
and vertically that the piping model is to be displayed
over. In this manner, the User can easily obtain large
colored posters representing the piping system.(E/2001/07/02/01)
Displaying
the Piping Model Graphic with the Color Scale and Piping
Code Values In this release of TRIFLEX, the
ability to display the piping model with the Color Scale
and the axis rosette or the triad is provided. For
any piping code for which an analysis has been processed,
any of the categories of values contained in the piping
code compliance report can be displayed as a function of
color on the piping model and the scale showing the range
of colors related to the values will also be shown.

1.5.3 Enhancements & Modifications
Enhancements
(includes all enhancements added since TRIFLEX 1.5.1) contd
XYZ
Reference Axis In this release of TRIFLEX, the User
can place a rosette or a triad in one of the four corners.
The rosette or a triad represents the XYZ axis. When the
User rotates the piping model, the rosette or triad will
also rotate correspondingly. (I/2001/04/27/02;I/2001/4/19/02)
Default
Joint Element Length In previous releases of TRIFLEX,
the default value for the joint length for a rigid joint
entered by the User was 1 foot or 350 mm. Based upon
User feedback, we learned that Users would prefer the default
value for the joint length to be equal to the absolute length
of the rigid joint. This enhancement has been incorporated.
(E2001/05/15/01)
DNV
1996 In this release of TRIFLEX, the Code Compliance
Report has been expanded to include two new columns
one for the calculated longitudinal stress and the other
for the longitudinal stress allowable.
OS-F101(DNV
2000) In this release of TRIFLEX, the Code Compliance
Reporting capability has been added for DNV 2000.
The code compliance report generated for the OS-F101 Code
is the DNV 2000 alternative.
UKOOA
In this release of TRIFLEX, the code compliance capability
for verifying compliance with the requirements of "Specifications
and Recommended Practice for the Use of GRP Piping Offshore"
edited by the UK Offshore Operators Association - March
1994 has been added. The code compliance reports are
available in the formatted reports as well as the spreadsheet
reports.
Weight
and Center of Gravity - In this release of TRIFLEX, the
weight and the centroid of the entire piping model is calculated
and provided for the User.
Calculation
of Subsea External Hydrostatic Pressure - In this release
of TRIFLEX, the User is provided with the ability to enter
the density of the sea water and the elevation of the sea
surface. With this data, TRIFLEX calculates the external
pressure seen by the pipe segments at various elevations
beneath the surface of the sea. When the User enters
the density and the elevation, TRIFLEX will automatically
adjust the User-entered internal pressure to be the resultant
internal pressure and all stress calculations made in accordance
with the B31.8 Piping Code will be based upon the resultant
internal pressure rather than the entered internal pressure.
